Data Quality and The Business — The Data and Information Quality Function: Where should this be positioned within your organization?

Organizations that have stable and mature data quality practices will eventually decide to create a formal Information/Data Quality (I/DQ) function. At that point, the organization must decide exactly where to position such a function. The final choice will greatly affect the I/DQ function's effectiveness in tackling I/DQ issues. This article attempts to provide a solution to this issue by describing a decision model that the author has found helpful in his own experiences as a Data Quality Manager.
