Cynthia Hartman
About the Author
Cynthia Hartman is a 38-year veteran of The Hartford. Most of that time has been spent as a business data management professional, with time served in a variety of analytical positions in The Hartford’s statistical data reporting area, the field coding liaison area, and Personal Lines Underwriting. About 7-8 years ago, Ms. Hartman spent a considerable portion of her time working on, understanding, and improving her company’s process of reconciling statistically reported data to their annual statement. The knowledge of the data that she gained on that effort was a perfect lead-in to her assignment to the Enterprise Strategic Data Services Unit (ESDS) four years ago. Ms. Hartman’s work in ESDS has included development of The Hartford’s P&C Enterprise Data Standards, their Data Governance and Stewardship foundational process, and especially their Data Quality Program. She currently holds the position of Senior Business Consultant in ESDS and serves as the business program manager of their data profiling tool and development of their data quality program.
